SGS North America Environment, Health and Safety’s Dayton, NJ location will no longer analyze samples for microbiological analyses effective July 1, 2019. The last day we will receive samples for analysis in house will be Thursday, June 27, 2019.
To facilitate this transition for our ongoing sampling events, we will be working with local laboratories to subcontract incoming samples through the end of each project and/or contract. All new projects will be evaluated for subcontract on a case by case basis due to the short holding times associated with these sensitive tests.
The specific microbiological analyses to be discontinued include total coliform, fecal coliform, and total plate count (“heterotrophic bacteria”) for all sample matrices. Please contact your client services representative prior to any sampling events to coordinate all projects accordingly and ensure the short holding times can be met. Please also do not hesitate to reach out with any special needs or concerns.
Thank you for your continued business and understanding as we make this procedural shift.
