What’s Next After Dioxins and Furans? A Free Webinar Presented by Dr. Chandramouli

Please join Bharat Chandramouli, Ph.D., for a free webinar Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 1:45 PM EST, presented by Waters. Dr. Chandramouli will be discussing the successful review of SGS AXYS Method ATM 16130 – Determination of 2,3,7,8-Substituted Tetra- through Octa-Chlorinated Dibenzo-p-Dioxins and Dibenzofurans (CDDs/CDFs) Using Waters and Agilent Gas Chromatography-Tandem-Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS/MS) by the US EPA.

These new methods take advantage of the latest technology using GC-MS/MS. The EPA has found they not only match the existing performance of previous EPA methods, but have the potential to lower laboratory costs, and expand the pool of available laboratories for this kind of testing. Building on the success of the dioxin validation, SGS AXYS has validated methods for the analysis of 209 PCB congeners by GC-MS/MS (EPA 1668 equivalent), and the analysis of legacy chlorinated pesticides.

In this presentation, Dr. Chandramouli will provide an update on SGS AXYS experiences in the application of the Waters APGC-MS/MS for the analysis of dioxins, PCBs and chlorinated pesticides in a non-potable water, solids and tissue.

Dr. Chandramouli is the North American Products Manager & Emerging Contaminants Portfolio Lead here at SGS. He has over 24 years of experience in Environmental Science and Analytical Chemistry, and the subject matter expert for our specialty analysis, including PFAS and other emerging contaminants.

The presentation, GC-MS/MS Approaches for Chlorinated POPs Analysis: What’s Next After Dioxins and Furans?  will take place at the Taking Sensitivity to the Next Level virtual conference presented by Waters. Register for the free webinar now.
