We are thrilled to announce another significant achievement in our expanding network of PFAS and CEC analysis services. SGS’ newly modernized laboratory in Dayton, NJ has received PFAS certification, making it officially NJDEP certified for EPA 533 in drinking water and EPA 1633 in non-potable water and solids with EPA 537.1 soon to follow!
This addition greatly expands our PFAS capacity, especially in the Northeast for all your drinking water, commercial and NPDES permitting samples including influents, effluents and biosolids.
As the originators of EPA 1633 with 20 years of PFAS experience under our belt, we are committed to building capacity to support your ever-growing PFAS measurement needs with this expansion and our existing PFAS network. Now that 1633’s 4th draft, released July 28, 2023, has finalized the procedure and specifications for Wastewater, Surface Water, and Groundwater, this additional capacity is especially timely.
The EPA has recommended that NPDES permit monitoring for PFAS include all 40 targets in 1633 in influent, effluent and biosolid on a quarterly basis. Due to the need for quality and standardization, the EPA has urged the use of 1633 over so-called 537-Modified or 533-Modified methods.
The Dayton, NJ laboratory recently underwent a multi-million-dollar modernization effort focused on people, process and technology. These investments have allowed us to prioritize time-sensitive projects and handle larger volumes of samples.
Our global network of scientists and services, informed by 20 years of PFAS experience, are well equipped to meet your unique needs locally in New Jersey. Our expanded scope caters to your PFAS projects with rush samples returned in 2-3 days.
