June 30, 2020
Dr. Bharat Chandramouli of SGS to Present on PFAS in Air at the A&WMA Virtual Conference
Bharat Chandramouli, Ph. D, Environmental Laboratory Product Manager, at SGS North America, joins an expert panel at the upcoming AWMA ACE Virtual Conference to discuss, “Ambient Air Methods, Analytical Challenges and Breakthroughs Associated with PFAS”, Tuesday, June 30, 1:30 PM – 3:15 PM ET.
The science related to PFAS in air is still in its infancy and PFAS specific regulatory guidance and criteria have not been published. Therefore, the focus of this panel session will be to discuss the increasing awareness of and response to air quality-related aspects of PFAS contamination as the environmental industry and regulators alike seek to measure and mitigate the impacts of these contaminants.
The panel’s discussion is titled, “PFAS and the Emerging Air Emissions Nexus” and it will touch upon multiple issues around PFAS in the air including:
- PFAS emissions source testing methods and challenges
- Lessons learned from real-time detection of PFAS in the gas phase
- Ambient air methods, analytical challenges and breakthroughs associated with PFAS
- Current toxicological understanding of PFAS
- Air dispersion modeling considerations
Attendance at this virtual conference, which runs from June 30-July2, requires registration and a fee, which includes all technical programs, plenary session, engaging with sponsors and exhibitors, and more.
