ECOS 2020 State Environmental Protection (STEP) Meeting: Partnering on PFAS
July 29, 2020 - July 30, 2020

DR. BHARAT CHANDRAMOULI OF SGS TO PRESENT ON PFAS MONITORING AT WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS AT ECOS VIRTUAL CONFERENCE, JULY 29
PFAS in wastewater and biosolids present a difficult challenge as they are not removed/destroyed through conventional treatment. The conversion of precursors into persistent perfluorinated carboxylates and sulfonates during treatment poses further human and ecological risks. To discuss this issue, Bharat Chandramouli, Ph. D., Environmental Laboratory Product Manager, North America at SGS, joins an expert panel at the upcoming Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) virtual policy summit on “Partnering on PFAS”. Dr. Chandramouli will present on “PFAS Monitoring at Wastewater Treatment Plants” on the Wastewater and Biosolids Panel, Wednesday, July 29, 4 PM ET.
This panel will focus on materials management, specifically PFAS in wastewater and biosolids, including landfill leachate, municipal systems, agricultural uses/sludge, and technologies for detecting plumes.
Attendance at this virtual conference, which runs from July 29-July 30, requires registration and a fee. Register for the conference here.
